The Heart Behind
We are overjoyed to announce that we have officially launched our storefront space at Painted Tree in Gilbert, Arizona!
This has been a very long and intentional process, with months of dreaming, designing, planning, building, and most prominently in trusting God. With much intention came detailed planning of our space, from the wood beams to the signage, to the designs themselves. We wanted every detail in our space to glorify God and to point others to Jesus as worthy of being glorified.
“How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who publishes peace, who brings good news of happiness, who publishes salvation, who says to Zion, 'Your God reigns'” - Isaiah 52:7
As Isaiah 52:7 reminds us, it is a beautiful privilege to carry and share the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ! And while we can spark conversations naturally, we believe, through the mission of Reverent Awe, that God can and will use our apparel and products to spark these life-giving conversations about Jesus. With this in mind, we launched 6 new designs alongside our Painted Tree Grand Opening, in prayer that God already knows the souls that are going to hear about Jesus through the tees we put up!
"For by grace you have been saved, through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:8-10
Just like a jean jacket is a timeless staple in your closet, so is this verse to every believer’s walk with Jesus. We know that “Saved by Grace” is a familiar saying, but we pray that it would not become casual. Our salvation is found in Jesus Christ alone, not earned by works, but gifted by God through faith. It truly is a gift that we as believers get to share with the world! May this jacket serve as a reminder to you that our identity is not found in performance, but in the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross.
Inspired by concert tees we often get, we desired to map out the ministry of Jesus Christ as He walked this earth. In the mere design of this Tee, we found ourselves diving into scripture and outlining the miracles that Jesus did. It is awe-inspiring to relive His ministry through the places He visited and remember how He turned water into wine in Cana, how He raised Lazarus in Bethany, how He went to the tomb in agony, but was raised from the Tomb and ascended to glory on the Mount of Olives! We pray this isn’t just a cool tee, but is a reminder that our God came in the flesh, lived among us, and conquered sin and the grace. This isn’t merely a tour, but the story of our salvation!
3. Armor Up
“Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.” Ephesians 6:13
In our current series at church, we have walked through the Glorious Grace in Ephesians and the Armor of God in Ephesians 6 specifically. This has reminded us of the real spiritual battle, not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual darkness, alive and active every day. But we are not helpless – our God has given us armor to fight a defeated enemy! It is crucial to remember that God has equipped us with everything we need to fight the spiritual warfare battles each and every day. With the belt of truth, breastplate of righteousness, readiness by the gospel of peace, shield of faith, helmet of salvation, and sword of the Spirit in the word of God, we are fully equipped to stand firm. Take heart, Jesus has already won.
“Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come.” Proverbs 31:25
It is truly comforting to be reminded that true strength and dignity are given by God, not achieved by the world. In our current culture, constantly being told standards to live up to, it is powerful to proclaim the power God has to define who we are, and clothe us in everlasting strength and dignity. Traits that come from identity in Christ, and trusting in the sovereignty of God over our days. Clothe yourself, both spiritually and physically, and remind yourself of how worthy you are in Christ.
5. Fear God
“Blessed is everyone who fears the Lord, who walks in his ways!” Psalm 128:1
As a company built on Reverence and Awe, outlined in Hebrews 12:28, we fear God wholeheartedly. Not in a terror way, but in a trembling awe that recognizes God as all-powerful yet gracious, holy yet merciful, and sovereign yet intimate. To fear God is to worship Him rightly, with reverence and awe, in obedience and love. This is a perfect tee to boldly proclaim your fear of the One True God.
“She is far more precious than jewels.” Proverbs 31:10
Nothing better than wrapping yourself in the true word of God. This tee reminds all that strength, worth, and beauty are not found in temporary, worldly things, but in Christ alone. Proverbs 31 isn’t a checklist, but for a young woman, is the aspirations and truths of walking in the true identity that Christ has given us. You are worth more than jewels – because of who you are in Christ!
Ultimately, this is more than apparel – this is about the opportunity to spread the Gospel to souls who desperately need it. Every part of Reverent Awe, from our blog posts, to Instagram, to Painted Tree store, to our apparel is designed to point people back to Christ, spark conversations, and boldly proclaim reverence in Jesus to breed unashamed followers of the Gospel. Let’s continue to bring the good news, in what we say, and in what we wear!
At Reverent Awe we believe in fervent, consistent, constant prayer. If you are in need of prayer or just want to reach out - Email us at info@reverentawe.com or leave a comment below. God Bless!
