Standing in Reverent Awe
A Reflection of 2025 at Reverent Awe Designs and a sneak peek at what 2026 will bring.
2025 at Reverent Awe Designs was a year filled Scripture-centered insight, personal devotion, gospel growth, and faith-filled living. Below is a look back at the twenty-five blogs in the 2025 calendar year, with links and detailed descriptions of the theme and encouragement each article offered to readers throughout the year.
January 2025 - New Year, New Goal of increasing our devotion
January 1, 2025 - Making 2025 the Best Year Yet for Jesus
The year opened with a faith-focused roadmap on how to make 2025 the best year for Jesus yet. We detailed our own roadmap to accomplish that goal with encouragement for believers to prioritize spending time with Jesus, our dependence on God, daily scripture reading, constant prayer, increased service, and maintaining an eternal perspective. Practical habits were presented not as legalism, but as intentional ways to grow closer to Jesus throughout the year.
January 15, 2025 - The Urgency to Live Eternally
In The Urgency to Live Eternally, we opened open with a sobering reminder from James 4:14 about the fleeting nature of life:
“you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes”
This biblical truth shifts our perspective away from worldly sayings like “life is short, make it sweet,” toward a gospel-centered urgency for eternity in Christ.
January 29, 2025 – In The Waiting
A devotional reflection on waiting seasons — periods where clarity doesn’t come immediately but God is still shaping hearts. The post encourages surrender over anxiety, reminding readers that God often moves deeply when life seems quiet.
February 2025 - Seeing God in Daily Life
February 12, 2025 - A Love Like No Other
A powerful Valentine’s Day week devotion that focuses on God’s eternal, unfailing love, a love that is all consuming but not dependent on circumstances, or human emotion. We explore several facets of divine, agape love that invite us to rest in it.
February 26, 2025 - Finding God in Motherhood
A tender reflection on how motherhood — with its patience, grace, and joyful challenges — reveals facets of God’s character. The post connects everyday familial moments to the presence of God and His sustaining love.
March 2025 - Gospel Clarity & Christ-Centered Faith
Mar 12, 2025 - Yes I Will!
This post was inspired Vertical Worship’s song “Yes I will.” An encouraging post about choosing praise and obedience in the mundane moments. As believers, we are encouraged to respond to daily reminders of God’s faithfulness with intentional “Yes I will” in every situation.
Mar 26, 2025 - The Blessedness of Being Unoffended by Jesus
Drawing from Luke 7, this post explores how, when our expectations our not God’s plan, we can become offended, which diminishes our faith. Believers can approach Jesus with trust, even when questions linger. It highlights five lessons about maintaining faith that isn’t easily shaken.
April 2025 - Resurrection Month
Apr 9, 2025 - The Two Simons: Lessons from the Cross
A creative Passion Week meditation on two different “Simons” in the Gospel narratives. By contrasting Peter’s fear and Simon of Cyrene’s reluctant obedience, this post presses in on how believers’ own encounters with the cross shape their faith.
Their stories invite us to reflect on the ways we encounter the cross: unexpectedly, willingly, fearfully, or even triumphantly.
Apr 23, 2025 - Living Resurrected
The Christian faith is based solely on the truth of the resurrection of Jesus, without that Christianity is a house of cards. This post extends Easter beyond a calendar date. It reflects on what it means to live in the power of Christ’s resurrection daily - finding hope in suffering and purpose in obedience.
May 2025 — Reverence, Awe and Gratitude
May 7, 2025 - Reverent Awe
A foundational statement of the brand’s mission. Drawing from Hebrews 12:28-29,
“Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe, for our God is a consuming fire.”
We explore what it means to approach God with true reverence and awe, while also giving the readers an inside look at what prompted the Reverent Awe mission.
May 21, 2025 - Thank You Jesus
A heartfelt look at thankfulness rooted in eternal truth, not circumstances. This devotional turns readers’ attention to the cross, encouraging gratitude for gospel realities that never change.
June 2025 - Gospel Depth
Jun 4, 2025 - By No Means!
A theological deep dive into Paul’s frequent use of the Greek phrase μὴ γένοιτο (“By no means!”) to defend core Gospel truths. The post invites readers to wrestle with misunderstandings and embrace Gospel clarity.
July 2025 – The Mission
Jul 9, 2025 - Building God’s House: From the Temple to Retail Space
A unique reflection that connects the Old Testament theme of God’s house with the brand’s physical retail space. It positions kingdom work and creative expression as acts of worship, not commerce.
During this build-out, we kept reminding ourselves of the honor to build something for God, and though this retail space falls well short of the Temple, we took the same pride in knowing that all the glory would be given to God in our space.
Right down to the selection of the wood, though we carefully sifted through two-by-two and two-by-four to find the best pieces, comparing piece by piece, we still ended up with major flaws. We liken it to how we see ourselves, much better than we are, and, yet God, rich in love and mercy, takes our mess and makes it beautiful. Amen!
Jul 23, 2025 - The Heart Behind
A behind-the-brand post highlighting the opening of the Painted Tree storefront, the inspiration behind our new designs, and the heart for creating apparel that sparks spiritual conversations.
Six designs were introduced at the Painted Tree:
· The “Saved by Grace Jean Jacket” reminds believers that salvation is a gift from God, not earned by works — a truth meant to spark gospel conversations.
· “The Jesus Tour” tees map significant moments of Jesus’ ministry, prompting wearers and observers to remember His life, miracles, and redemptive work.
· “Armor Up” is a bold visual reminder of the spiritual armor described in Ephesians 6 — truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, and God’s Word — all equipping believers for spiritual battles.
· “Clothed in Strength & Dignity” declares that a believer’s worth and identity are found in Christ, not in worldly standards.
· “Fear God” boldly proclaims reverence for God as the foundation of worship and faithful living.
· “Proverbs 31 Girl” celebrates spiritual identity, worth, and beauty that flow from Scripture, not cultural definitions.
August 2025 – Faith in Action & Sufficiency
Aug 6, 2025 - Faith On The Water
A devotional on Matthew 14:22-33, where Peter walks toward Jesus on the water. The reflection shows how fear and doubt can pull believers under - but Jesus’s hand always steadies those who trust Him.
Modern-day believers have seen God’s miraculous works, from salvation to thousands of small graces we experience daily. Some of us have experienced big miracles in the physical healing of something deemed incurable. Others have seen the miracle of peace during difficult circumstances. Yet, despite all the evidence, when life gets hard, believers can panic - just like Peter.
Aug 20, 2025 - The Lord Is Sufficient, I Lack Nothing!
Anchored in Psalm 23, this post reassures readers that God supplies, restores, comforts, and leads even when doubts and fears arise.
September 2025 - Strength, Milestones & Bold Faith
Sep 3, 2025 - Strength in Adversity
Encouragement rooted in Proverbs 24:10
"If you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small."
With the certainty of adversity in this life, this verse reminds believers that though personal strength fails, God’s strength never does, and true renewing strength comes from trusting Him.
Sep 11, 2025 - 2 Years of Reverent Awe!
A joyful second anniversary reflection where the founders discuss lessons, memories, and God’s faithfulness over two years of mission.
Sep 17, 2025 - Unashamed for Christ!
A triumphant call to live boldly in the victory Christ secured over death, grounded in 1 Corinthians 15.
This blog encourages believers to stand firm, be steadfast, and abound in the work of the Lord, energized by the Spirit and never ashamed of Jesus - because the Gospel is the greatest message the world could ever hear.
October 2025 - Faith That Advances
Oct 1, 2025 - Out of the Heart, the Mouth Speaks
This blog reminds us that our words carry powerful weight - they can wound deeply or bring healing, but ultimately, they reveal what is in our hearts. Drawing from Matthew 12:34 and Luke 6:45, the post teaches that speech is not random or merely habit; it flows directly from the condition of our hearts. When anger, pride, or bitterness fills us, it shows up in rash words that harm others. Conversely, when God’s love and grace fill our hearts, our speech becomes life-giving and restorative.
The emphasis is that self-control alone isn’t enough - true change requires heart transformation. Scripture like Proverbs 4:23 and James 3 is used to show that guarding the heart leads to words that build up rather than tear down. The piece closes with practical encouragement: saturate your heart with Scripture, pray for the Spirit’s guidance, and let the gospel reshape your inner life so that your mouth naturally pours forth healing, encouragement, and truth.
Oct 15, 2025 - The Defense That Never Rests
A call to spiritual readiness and bold witness — living each day prepared to share the hope of Christ with others.
Oct 29, 2025 - The Weight of Wanting More
A reflection on Jeremiah 45:5, questioning worldly ambition and urging readers to find peace in surrender to God’s will.
The devotional begins by acknowledging a familiar inner whisper, “It’s not enough,” that pushes believers toward more success, recognition, or approval. The post points out that when our desires center on self-serving ambition, our hearts drift from God’s purposes and toward pride and discontent.
November 2025 - Eyes Fixed on Jesus
Nov 12, 2025 - Rest to Remain
A contemplative piece showing that true rest isn’t idle, it’s aligning the soul with God’s presence and provision. The devotional highlights that rest isn’t merely cessation of activity, but intentional renewal that reconnects us to God’s heart
Nov 26, 2025 - The Comparison Game
Using John 21, this post warns believers against comparing their journey with others, reminding them that Jesus calls each believer to follow Him personally. The piece explores why comparison is spiritually harmful: it distorts calling, breeds discontent, halts momentum, and draws attention away from Christ.
It ends with Jesus words as a glorious reminder, “What’s it to you? You follow Me!”
December 2025 — The Gift of Christ
Dec 10, 2025 - A Child Is Born
A Christmas reflection celebrating the incarnation — God with us — and its eternal implications. It reminds readers that Christ’s birth brings hope, redemption, and awe worthy of worship.
2025 in Review
